Benefits Summary

The Clermont County Public Library offers a wide-ranging benefits package to meet the needs of our staff members. 

Salary: 

A comprehensive salary schedule for all classifications has been developed.  Individual salaries are dependent upon qualifications and performance.

CCPL employees are paid every other Friday for the preceding two week pay period.  All paychecks are direct deposited.

Accrued Benefits: 

Vacation: Vacation leave is accrued on a per-pay basis.  Staff members will accrue paid vacation leave based on full-time/part-time status and length of service until maximum accrual rate is reached.  Resigning staff with one year’s service or more will be paid for vacation leave accrued and unused at time of resignation.

Sick: Full time employees accrue sick leave (4.92 hours) per pay at a rate.  Sick leave accumulates up to 850 hours.

Insurance: 

Health: Staff members who work 30 or more hours per week are eligible to receive health insurance benefits.

Life and Long Term Disability: Life insurance and long term disability insurance are provided to full time staff members at no cost to the employee.

Dental: All staff members working 20 or more hours per week are eligible for dental insurance benefits (excluding temporary employees).  

Vision: All staff members working 20 or more hours per week are eligible for vision insurance benefits (excluding temporary employees). 

Employee Assistance Program: 

The services of an EAP are available to all staff members.

RETIREMENT:  

Every staff member is a member of the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS).  An employee contributes 10% of their salary; the Library contributes 14% of Library funds.  More information is available on www.opers.org. Additionally, library employees are eligible to participate in the Ohio Deferred Compensation Program.

Library employees do not pay into Social Security and the Library does not pay into Social Security on their behalf.

Medicare: 

A 1.45% payroll deduction is required of each staff member.  This amount is matched by CCPL.

Hours: 

Work schedules are established to meet the needs of the library.  Evenings and weekends may be required. System meetings and trainings may occur outside of normal library hours.

Holidays: 

Full time staff members will receive 8 hours of paid leave and part time staff members will receive 4 hours of paid leave for ten national holidays: 

**Columbus Day may be scheduled as a Staff Development Day and a floating holiday granted in its place

Tuition Reimbursement:

Depending on economic and budgetary constraints CCPL may provide eligible employees with Tuition Reimbursement.
